Founded in 2014, Opera Wilmington is committed to providing live operatic performances and to cultivating new generations of opera lovers through educational and programming outreach. To fulfill our mission, we present one fully staged opera each summer, and offer concerts throughout the year with programs that range from Broadway and movie favorites to classic arias and art songs.
We continue to expand and diversify our audience. Our 2022 production of Mozart’s Magic Flute drew raves from the audience like: “it was thrilling, charming, totally delightful. Every aspect of the performance was so well-crafted.” An important part of our mission is outreach to new and diverse audiences. This year, we presented a production of Magic Flute to underserved students, and would like to expand our outreach to this audience by bringing an immersive arts experience.
