“QUEEN OF THE NIGHT” BRACELET – 4 – JAMEKA WRISBON PURDIE/ART IN BLOOM GALLERY

Jewelry artisan Jameka Wrisbon Purdie created a limited number of these bracelets especially for Opera Wilmington’s production of The Magic Flute. Each is handmade and features a unique combination of Swarovski crystallized pearls. The band is created with odd-count peyote stitch using glass Miyuki Delica seed beads in hematite. There are just under 2,000 of the tiny glass cylinders in each bracelet band.

Art in Bloom Gallery will soon move from downtown Wilmington into a larger space in Mayfaire Town Center. Owner Amy Grant offers an eclectic mix of original paintings, ceramics, sculpture, blown glass, stained-glass mosaics, photography, jewelry, limited-edition prints, and mixed media by established and emerging artists.
